Luca Morelli was born in Rome in 1968 and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 1990.
Inspired from the beginnings of “classical painting”, from the Renaissance to that of the 800 Neoclassical, it rests on the pictorial and compositional grammar, transposing it into a figurative style where painting becomes not only representation of “real” but also and above all vision “metaphysics” of everyday life.
His exhibition trail marks its beginning in 1999 with the first staff in Rome. There will be several exhibitions up to the collaboration from 2006 with the gallery Il Polittico di Roma directed by Arnaldo Romani Brizzi and Massimo Caggiano. It is worth remembering with his gallery the personal exhibition of 2010.
In 2016, his painting was acquired by Fondaciò de les Arts, the first Artistes in Barcelona, thus becoming part of the permanent collection of MEAM – Museu Europeu Art Modern in Barcelona.
In 2017 he is the winner of the 2nd Prize in the International Art Exhibition “The 44th Sulmona Prize”.
His works are in important private collections in Italy and abroad.
He lives and works in Rome
