3 Days Sculpture Workshop: The Moving Body

This is a fireclay modelling workshop for all abilities including beginners.
You will work every day from life models, building your sculpture from the armatures, to clay sculpture, with particular attention to the movement of the figure. Models will assume dynamic poses to create dynamic sculptures, thanks to the wise leadership of Jorge.

Who is Jorge Egea?workshop scultura arts in rome

Jorge Egea is a Doctor in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona in 2005 with his thesis ‘Modelling, Creation and Knowledge. Spiritus Classicus’, since 2003 Egea has been a professor at the Department of Sculpture at Barcelona University’s Faculty of Fine Arts and has worked on various occasions as a guest teacher at several European universities. As a researcher, he is member of Gracmon Group of research in the Department of Art History (University of Barcelona) and currently is chair of the Catalan Institute of Research in Sculpture (ICRE).

Day 2:
Model Session – realization of two fast sketches

Model Session – realization of some sketches

Visit “Musei Capitolini” with Jorge Egea (included in the Price) in the afternoon.

Day 3:
Model Session – realization of schetches in moving
Break
Model Session – realization of schetches in movement
Final palaver and preparing definitive Sculpture

Materials list

  1. Wooden Panel 25×25 cm
  2. “All around plate” as sculpture base
  3. Fire Clay 15 kg for one student, SIO2 PRLF
  4. Tools of wood molded
  5. Iron wire to cut

Number of participants:

The course is limited and a minimum number of 3 participants up to a maximum of 7.
The points summarized in this program are indicative and may vary from time to time depending on the speed of learning of the students and the time available.
